Ignorance of the Law

The Supreme Court on Friday found that prosecutors have to prove that an individual alleged to have illegally possessed a firearm must know that they are part of a group banned from having the gun in the first place. [More]
Seems reasonable.

Somebody ought to explain the law to Machinegun Sammy.

Of the 5,000+ cases submitted yearly to SCOTUS, how did this case involving an illegal alien, a non-citizen, an invader, get selected by SCOTUS for his whining to be heard ?

How did this invader even PAY to get to the SCOTUS ? Who paid the multitude of attorney's fees, administrative costs in the tens of thousands of dollars to even have a chance at having even a slim chance at his case being heard by the SCOTUS ?

Now was ICE standing by in the courtroom to arrest and immediately deport this foreign s oundrel ? Methinks not.
