But in defense of the invaders, why wouldn't they try, seeing as how, despite the talk, they see the reality of the situation?
Good thing this has nothing to do with that "single issue."

In the Interwebz this is called a Denial of Service Attack, in which the target is overwhelmed with requests/demands to the point of failure. I'm surprised that I haven't seen this term used to describe it.
