I'm reminded of an old joke:

Q: How many psychiatrists does it take to change a light bulb?

A: Only one, but the light bulb has to want to change.

At some point they're going to have to deal with the fact that a large portion of the USA doesn't wan to change, doesn't see the need to change, and is getting fed up with change being forced upon them.

Or as Mama Liberty once said: "If they don't want a civil disturbance, why do they keep disturbing us?"
