I’ve been expecting to see riots — excuse me, Maxine — “resistance” in our own deep blue enclaves for some time now. What’s holding them up?

The EBT cards still work, for now. There is still--mostly--food on the shelves, for here and now. Those are the main reasons the whole continent hasn't gone up in flames--for now.

But with the economy completely at a standstill, with dairy farmers dumping milk in the river because the food processing plant workers have been deemed "nonessential," this situation may get a lot worse before it gets better.

How are you fixed for food and other necessities? If your local supermarkets were all empty shelves tomorrow, and the day after that, and the day after that, do you and your family have enough food and drinkable water, RIGHT NOW, to make it through? What if the power and gas go out?

Are you in or near a "diverse" area? Do you have plans for how to get out if food riots begin? Do you have a place to go if things turn pear-shaped? If not, do you have the means to defend yourself, if rioters come calling?
