Then there's the viral video of the Star Wars cosplay girl, age 19, being arrested in Alberta, Canada, apparently for being armed with a toy phaser. Cops force her to the ground even after she explains she is in a rigid plastic costume. She had been hired by a local restaurant doing a promo for "Star Wars Day."
Officer Friendly is gone. So is intelligence and good judgment among the cops. Suspicion coupled with hostility is the new normal, despite the fact that LE fatalities in the line of duty have fallen since the 1970s.
I've always said there are two rooms that should be avoided: court rooms and operating rooms. Talk to a cop about anything, even the weather, and you may end up in both.
I felt a great disturbance in the Farce.
And even more pathetic and contemptible, the report I linked to there says two conditioned subjects called 911 to report her.
