The Self-Anointed Arbiters of 'Extreme' on Guns

Amy Coney Barrett is even more “extreme” on gun rights than her Republican defenders in the Senate [More]

And your point is?

Salon... isn't that the outfit that advocates "gutless NRA cowards ... can have a gun, once you understand the pain of being shot”?

What I've seen so far leads me to believe she's no where near as extreme as the folks who started, fought, and eventually won an eight year bloody wear against what had been their own governemnt and thn refused to ratify the Constitution of the United states until it included the words "the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

When you cut to the meat of it "shall not" is a pretty extreme phrase.

Well the word I focus on is "infringed" - rather clear-cut, one would think.

"Shall not" is about as flat and stern a prohibition as you can get. I like it.

"Shall not be infringed", to me, means, "No, you can't even trim off the decorative little dangles around the edges."

All together, yeah, it's as extreme and clear cut as anything in the Declaration or the Constitution--and they're both wildly radical documents.
