It used to be that "firsts" celebrated genuine achievement. The first heavier-than-air flight. The first Emperor to unify China. The first moon landing. The Democrats have replaced this with a multitute of synthetic "firsts" -- the first black president, the first woman president, the first gay president, the first teenage president, the first four-legged president, the first Communist president. Every one of them actually does exactly the same job as the ones before him (usually much worse), but if you're the "first" of anything, the Dems will put your name at the top of the ballot, because they know you're a guaranteed draw for the soylent portion of the electorate.
