High Apple Pie in the Sky Hopes

As regulars here know, I'm on limited blogging until further notice. That said, several of you have asked me what I think about the Supreme Court taking on the carry case 2A activists are all excited about and the antis are screaming "end of the world" over.

I've been disappointed so many times before, this pretty much sums up my sentiments:

Like the sign says, change my mind. Because I'd really like my pessimism to be proven spectacularly wrong.

Sad to say, I agree with your sentiments.

An acquaintance of mine was known for saying "I'd like to be an optimist, but I don't think it would work."

It didn't get him quite as many strange looks as his claim to be a lesbian trapped in a man's body, but it was close.

I figure that when an optimist gets a surprise, it tends to be more negative than expected. Conversely, when a pessimist gets a surprise, it tends to be more positive.

I think I'll stick with being a pessimist.

BTW, speaking of Chief Justice Roberts, where's "Dolly the love ewe?" She hasn't put in an appearance in a while. ;-)

Thank you for moving the photo of that hideous woman down a spot. The picture ruined 3 watches & a wall clock.

You're not wrong. The commie left OWNS the SCOTUS. They bought them, blackmailed them or suborned them somehow but the SCOTUS as well as most of the Federal Judiciary his totally compromised.

I haven't been an optimist for 20 years or so. Before that, oh yeah.
