We're the Only Ones Heroic Enough

Sharyl (on-camera): In a statement, an attorney for the officer insists his “bravery was nothing short of heroic and by shooting and killing Babbitt, he saved the lives of countless members of Congress and the rioters. The nation owes him a debt of gratitude.” [More]

Where have we heard such characterizations before?

And we generally know heroes' names so that they can be paid proper tribute...

This whole incident is an atrocity.

And note the FOIA exemption.

From his actions, I guess it's now perfectly legal to shoot unarmed people for attempted trespassing.

Like the word "racist", the word "hero" is being overused to the point where it will essentially become meaningless.

OTOH, maybe "heroes" are now "infrastructure."

That is appalling.

Read my comment under "We're the Only Ones Problematic Enough" -- good careers, huh?

We NEED LEO reform at the FEDERAL level. NOW.
