No criminal proceedings at this point. For now a civil suit full of prurient allegations.
And the DA isn't too enthusiastic about pursuing it.
Harris County has eight constable fiefdoms running all sorts of overreaching ops from sex parlor stings (of course the boys don't use tax bucks to make cases with happy endings) to game room busts, to 'contract' neighborhood patrols. Created to 'serve' the courts these petty princes and princesses glommed on to mission creep years ago.
Have lost track of the numbers of overlapping 'enforcement' entities in these parts.
Overreach and little oversight, a magic mix for mischief. Maybe they can claim 'qualified immunity'.
