Mr. Professor Wolff is desperately in need of a Dr. Zhivago moment.
Reminds me of the scene in Dr. Zhivago where he comes home to find an entire workers collective including a commissar living in what was once his family home.

I'm also reminded of one of my favorite lines from Mama Liberty. IIRC it went something like "If they don't want a civil disturbance, why do they keep disturbing us?"
Condo associations are run democratically by all. That's why this one collapsed. The owners couldn't agree on spending the money to fix the failing structure.
