Speaking of Vultures

But the Indiana Farm Bureau is trying to give them another option. In early August, the general farming organization launched a new program in which livestock producers can apply for a permit to legally kill and remove a set number of the black vultures from their property. [More]

That they have to ask bureaucrats whose business it is not for permission -- and can have their lives destroyed if they act on their own -- speaks to how far freedom has degraded in this country. I'd say "shoot, shovel, and shut up," but then there are probably busybody snitch neighbors who would file noise complaints.

Then again, take the king's shilling and become the king's man.

Precharged Pneumatic (PCP) rifle. An air gun that uses a cylinder charged to about 3000 psi. In some (many?) places you can use a supressor on these rifles because they are not firearms. Check local laws. On some of these rifles, the first 3 shots have as much muzzle energy as a 45acp. More shots are possible, but with decreasing muzzle energy. Sounds great if you are worried about neighboring Karens.
