The question always is, when the Liberals" feel safe, who do you think thay wiill be pointing those guns at?
The "true-blue" liberals are sure that the "criminal class" is mishaving only because they have been held down and oppressed for so long. Once that problem is "peacefull" attended to, then they can redirect their efforts at the real enemy, the racist Trumpists. "We" are at fault, and we are the enemy.
Maybe there is reason to hope that this is all a repreive, but I'd be more likely to consider any such shift as just az temporary adjustment in tactics.
"We" are standing in the way of their quest for "power".
