Two Schools of Thought

Gun raffle to help fund Umatilla High School students causes controversy [More]

I should think so! Why only 300 tickets?

Notice all their quotes are from frightened, ignorant women? And for all its disavowal, the school hasn't said it will refuse the money?

“I think giving it to someone random is not best because you just don’t know their background. You don’t know their intentions — you just don’t know them,” Julianna Siste said.

My local gun store has raffles all the time to various organizations. Future Farmers of America, Elks etc.

Do these folks think the firearm is not going to have a 4473 completed?

It's not about what they think. They flat out don't know anything about what is involved in purchasing a gun. It's not like the antis are going to tell the truth. They still lie about the "gun show loophole."

You could apply that logic to vehicles. A dealer could sell a car to someone and not know the buyer is going to drive it into a crowd of people. Except no one wants to sue the dealer or manufacturer.
