Mandatory Training Bill the Wrong Answer to Movie Set Shootings

This is a “solution” in search of a problem. [More]
Be careful when "sticking it to them" that we don't end up on the wrong end of the skewer.

Given that deaths as a result of boating, explosives, vehicular, and aircraft accidents are FAR more common on movie sets this is yet one more example of the unsubstantiated bias toward firearm control laws.

Given that Baldwin reportedly was offered a firearms safety refresher on the site and declined, this is pretty much a solution in search of a problem.

Hollywood's elites are not the least bit interested in learning anything more about firearms than they need to make money off of them.

Having them sit through a class while they play "Candy Crush" or "Angry Birds" on their smartphones isn't going to fix anything.

OTOH, putting Baldwin on trial for negligent manslaughter AND getting a conviction just might.
