If the UA-RU conflict points to anything it is that the Swiss model of home defense is viable if not essential. Any country larger than Italy with an armed citizenry is essentially unconquerable. The attrition by a thousand cuts is not worth the squeeze.
As to a CWII here, I wish the govt forces well. Their initial tactical advantage would wane over time to a squad on squad battle. Rapidly lacking the resupply of heavy ordinance, one reaches that level of combat. Hope we never reach that point.
