Think about it. According to the Dems and the MSM, the problem is never the perp, or the crime, but the gun. So when a perp commits a crime with a toy gun, naturally he's going to argue that the gun is perfectly legal. The guv has nobody to blame but itself for opening the door to their own argument going sideways.
