The Ethically Challenged Ethics Challenge

“I don’t think he should have ever been appointed so let me take it back there,” Pelosi said. “I will say that H.R. 1, our bill to have a cleaner government, we have a call for the Supreme Court to have a code of ethics. They have no code of ethics – and really? It’s the Supreme Court of the United States … and we don’t know what their ethical standards are.” [More]

SCOTUS isn't supposed to have a "Code of Ethics", save for one, single item: Fidelity to the United States Constitution.

A separate Code of Ethics would create broad areas where the Court may act contrary to the governmental limits and individual rights they are sworn to uphold.

Which is exactly why San Fran Nan wants one so badly.

How about enacting a code of ethics for the House of Representatives.
