The Keys to the Kingdom

The 20,000-pound Columbus Doors that lead into the Rotunda on the east side of the U.S. Capitol are secured by magnetic locks that can only be opened from the inside using a security code controlled by Capitol Police, Moseley wrote in an eight-page memo. [More]

Funny, how some of us haven't been able to get anyone to answer that for us, no matter how often we ask.

Ah yes, the two part 20,000 pound gorilla who lives at the Capitol Buiding. Was not aware either that this pair of doors is that subastantial nor that it has a sophisticated magnetic lock ONLY operable from INSIDE the buidling, and by only select personnel.
Does it keep a record of which passcode is used at what times? Then figure out who had access to THATpasscode on THAT day/time. In any case, should be an easy out for anyone accused of jusst "opening the door" to "reach" the People's Building.

Linked piece is behind a paywall......
