On Friday, we saw the letter ATF sent to FFL dealers in Tennessee telling them the Bureau was overriding the state's Firearms Freedom Act, and would continue to impose federal requirements in disregard of state law.

From Tennessee Firearms Association:

The ATF - as expected - has issued a letter in which it disregards the 10th Amendment restrictions on federal power (as seems to be the trend since the late 1930) and has notified Tennessee’s federal firearms dealers that the Tennessee Firearms Freedom Act is meaningless. Essentially, ATF is saying to the state of Tennessee that the 10th Amendment no longer exists. [More]

It also makes me wonder about your qualifications to define tactical situations a citizen might find himself in, why you purposely put off discussing the tyranny-resisting potential enabled by the Second Amendment and avoid exploring founding intent.

Why is Tennessee Republican Adam Dread, a gun-owning, card-carrying member of the National Rifle Association, working so hard to fight a bill supporters say will protect the rights of gun-owners in his home state? [More]

And look, Adam isn't done with his dreadful betrayal:

Dread asserts that according to Tennessee Codes Annotated section 57-5-106(a) that Metro Nashville can pass an ordinance instructing its Beer Board not to grant licenses to establishments that serve beer and allow guns.

While it's fair to judge Dread (say--I don't suppose NRA would be interested in expelling him for cause and in accordance with their Bylaws, would they? Naaah...), the true judgment belongs on those who enable him and his kind to have power over their lives.
