The percentages come from the Reuters article, linked at the end of the first paragraph, so referencing them in the article actually does make sense—I include links for a reason—if you chose not to read them and then leap to bad conclusions, that’s on you. If you have documentation to refute the numbers, present it, and make sure you demand a correction/retraction from them and Project Vote Smart.
As for your accusation that all I seem to do is bash NRA, I've run into that one before. Perhaps you could point out where the untrue statement is. Again, bring proof, because there is a long history of documentation proving undeserved ratings if you really want to open that can of worms. Or is it you want the truth about such cynical manipulations of members suppressed? Why?
As for VCDL, they're not supposed to let their members know when a candidate refuses to sign their survey and his campaign claims an endorsement that was never given?
What's your skin in the game, "Mike"? Do you just lap up whatever you're fed by Fairfax, or does it go deeper? You have me at a disadvantage since there's no way to check without you revealing more.
On the other hand, there's some perceptive commentary from "Russn8r" in the thread, as well as from Bob Sadtler, who is correct in pointing out there was a third significant race I should have highlighted.
See? I can take criticism when it's warranted.

Oh, Look Who's Wrong Again
The III% movement was co-founded by pro-gun, anti-government activist Mike Vanderboegh... [More]That would be "founded by." And everything else this Travis Gettys character spews here to his hate-consumed hive insect readership is BS as well.
I know from experience.
Moms Demand Ignorance
MOMS DEMAND ACTION: TEACHING GUN SAFETY TO SCHOOL CHILDREN IS ‘ATROCIOUS’ [More]Yeah, there will be less blood for us to dance in!

Gunrunner
So, in violation of federal law and the U.N. arms embargo on Libya she authorized the shipment of American arms to Qatar, knowing they’d be passed off to Libyan rebels, some of whom were al-Qaida, a few of whom killed Ambassador Stevens using American-made weapons. When asked about this, she said she knew nothing of it. The emails underlying this are in the public domain. Clinton not only knew of the arms-to-Libyan-rebels deal, she authored and authorized it. She lied about this under oath. [More]Seems like a pattern.
When a comprehensive history of Fast and Furious finally becomes known, it will explain the circumstantial evidence tying State under Hillary to ITAR violations and putting a witness out of reach by reassigning him out of country.
For It Before She Was Against It
Useful info to have, courtesy of Martin O'Malley, who's claiming to be an even bigger traitor than Hillary. Still, what I found most interesting was the bombastic SOB thundering "A single life in America is worth more than all the guns in the United States!"
Think about the only consistent inference that can be made from that absurd statement, and then ask how many single lives he's willing to have others put at risk and/or destroy in order to impose his insane need to dominate on those who will not yield to it.
But no one wants to take your guns, you paranoids!

Blast from the Past
While doing some research for another article, I came across this one from 2012, and the photo caption, especially in light of what we know now, reminded me of something:
Leland Yee deserves a firing squad.
Not Cooperating with the Narrative
The initial information is that the woman identified the man as her abductor. She told investigators he forced her to the apartment and sexually assaulted her. At some point, she got hold of the gun and shot him. [More]But...but...but what about Gun-Grabby Gabby's "Protect All Women" tour...?
The People Have Spoken
In another stunning rebuke to the billionaire funded, anti-rights crazies, the people of Coos County have passed a Second Amendment Preservation Ordinance that nullifies dangerous and unconstitutional laws like SB 941. [More]So naturally, the totalitarian lobby is resorting to name-calling.
Bloomberg, McAuliffe Senate Setback Has Lessons for Republicans and Gun Owners
Virginia shows us the Bloomberg money machine can sputter and seize up. It also shows us Republicans need to decide who their friends are [and] NRA ratings are hardly the final word... [More]Being bought and paid for by Bloomberg does not assure victory — yet. But Republicans may change all that if they continue to offer gun owners status quo lip service instead of leadership.
Priorities
Almost a million are motivated to take to the streets over a baseball game. [More]
And they didn't riot! Praise them for being a herd instead of a pack, and ignore the greater, more deadly truth.

I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues
Akron City Council remains blue. [More]That and meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
Up in Smoke
"I can't believe I voted 'no' when it was finally on the ballot," said Marty Dvorchak, 62, of the northern Cincinnati suburb of Fairfield. "I think it's ridiculous that marijuana is illegal. The war on drugs has been a failure. But I don't think 10 people (growers) should have a monopoly." [More]Those were pretty much my sentiments.
Burden of Proof
Is the prosecution’s burden much greater than that of the defendant? Certainly. But it’s the same burden we require prosecutor’s to bear when they seek to have a defendant found guilty of almost any alleged crime... [More]Can't have that in self-defense cases, can we...?

Looks like the only solution is upping taxes on the productive...
Safety in Numbers
Lamar Russell, a member of the San Antonio chapter of Open Carry Texas, said he expects roughly a dozen people to show up. [More]Imagine how much more problematic it would be for "authorities" to observe and then comprehensively respond in their own time and place were that number roughly 12,000, instead.

An Equal Voice
Counting illegals in the census undermines one of the fundamental principles of representative democracy – namely, that every citizen-voter has an equal voice. [More]Thank goodness none of that has anything to do with that "single issue."
