Yeah, I know Robert Vaughn was a "liberal," and I know the show was about globalist UN cops. Back then, we didn't think about such things -- perhaps that was a conditioning design feature, or perhaps it was just stupid, cool entertainment for kids.

Hell, I also watched The F.B.I. with Efram Zimbalist Jr. See, I tried to like big government.

In any case, this was a big part of my life, about the time I was also into Aurora monster models, Star Trek (a.k.a.  Space UN), Adam West's Batman and a universe of Marvel characters taking us places DC hadn't considered.  I had all the paperback Man from U.N.C.L.E. novels and this was an awesome favorite.

And there was this, from before the culture had become infected with anti-toy gun PSH:

I'm sorry to see the man pass. I'm glad I enjoyed his work before he did.

The other thing we saw Tuesday is that Astroturf-funded state measures are the wave of the near future. UPDATE after having time to mull all this over, including all the other stuff that's given people hope that one of the new "revelations" is gong to be the final straw:

The safest course every time we hear something new is to assume we're being played again.  That includes reports that FBI insiders were upset with Comey on one side, and Hillary/Lynch were upset with him on the other. Looks to me like he played his part to lead everyone to the conclusion that there's no fire in all the smoke.

That's what the propaganda press is now telling them.

To quote a friend from years past:
We've been conned. Bare-ass naked in the town square conned.
The thing is, though, it's not done without unintended consequences -- look at how many good Americans are convinced of that and fed up.

We need to not be the ones to act impulsively and in anger. Some are counting on the more impulse control-challenged doing just that. Some are trying to provoke it.

Captain's Log

It's been a while since I did one of these -- I guess Herschel was concerned about not over-burdening me after surgery. It's like I just got done telling some friends, my health is gettng back to normal -- I can still beat the stuffing out of snarling feral sons Uday and Qusay while clenching a stogie between my teeth.

Wishful Thinking

I'll believe it when I see it. [More]

And even then I'll be skeptical about any difference-making outcome -- forget about any conviction, I'm talking about with Democrat voters.

Lies of Omission

I've been trying to help him behind the scenes, and if things work out, may become even more involved. I'm not ready to say more at this point, because there are still many pre-production factors to be dealt with.

I'm hoping when I am ready to address this in more detail that you -- yes, you -- will want to help bring this into reality, both by putting up a few dollars and by spreading the word to recruit more support.

Let me give you a "teaser" on why friends of Claire, Matt Bracken and Mike Vanderboegh should find that important:

The Usual Suspects

Sure, Sam. Now would be a perfect time to say it again.

Consider the source.

If Trump does win, his biggest obstacle will be the passive/aggressive obstructionism, foot-dragging and outright oppositon from the #NeverTrump "Republicans," desperate to show us how "Tea Party extremists" kept the likes of Bob Dole, Mitt Romney, John McCain or Jeb Bush from giving us more of the same.

If Trump doesn't win, Hillary will. Accelerated cultural terraforming and what that will allow the executive and legislative branches to do -- and the courts to uphold -- will "make peaceful revolution impossible."

We'll either need that Second Amendment George Will wants to repeal, or the experiment is over.

Impossible. Don't they know how rigorous our security screening is?

Don't worry. Be happy.

You mean there won't be as many  swarms of Officers sent hither to harass our people and eat out their substance? Deal! And while it's a good start, I'm sure we could find plenty of other areas that fall outside of properly-delegated Constitutional functions.

Thing is, there's just not that much demand for self-entitled parasitic bureaucrats in the private sector, nor would they be able to find anywhere near the deal on health insurance, time off and other benefits.

In a perfect world, they'd "do the jobs Americans won't do."

An Extinction Level Event

That's the goal, you know. [More]

These freakish, twisted creatures have redirected self-loathing into absolute hatred of and opposition to reality. They call it "progressivism," but in true Opposite Day fashion, it harks back to the story of the original war of rebellion.

It's the War on Truth.
