The Big Lie

Repeat SPLC smears often enough... [More]

The following is easily verifiable:
  1. Oath Keepers is not a militia.
  2. Bylaws preclude any Oath Keeper from being a member if he espouses racism or overthrowing the government.
  3. Members were in Ferguson to protect individuals and store owners who wanted their help and were grateful for receiving it. Their presence was lawful and businesses under their watch did not burn due to the OK deterrent.
Not that I expect Angela Ruggiero and her handlers at the East Bay Times to do minimal research, to give a damn about the truth and to correct a record that does not support a preferred narrative. Nor do I expect the stammering politician to do anything but distance himself from controversy.

We're the Only Ones Retaliatory Enough

Attack of the Killer Snowflakes

CAMPUS FASCISM RISING - What can be done? [More]
Plenty.

I believed they've overplayed their hand and cannot look for a base of support from any other than the disgruntled fringe. It's not like the Vietnam-era protests, where Middle America had a stake in questioning an unpopular war. These sociopaths of no achievements want to destroy Middle America.

We see them getting coverage disproportionate to their numbers. But those numbers are limited to safe space campuses and on occasion to urban events where TV eyeballs are guaranteed.  Now think how many you don't see in real life, at the store, in your neighborhood, at the places you frequent.

If you don't go looking for them, chances are you won't see them.

I mean, just look at how few followers all the Antifa Twitter sites have -- I have more than most of them, and I'm a nobody. And those aren't real-world commitments.

It reminds me of a line I once read about such American losers in a book -- I can't remember exactly which one and by whom -- that goes something like:
Communists are people who get their insides all twisted up because they want to rule the world and can't even get their letters to the editor published.
On top of it all, they generate zero sympathy and instead elicit head-shaking, disgust -- and fear among those who fail to realize their own power and responsibilities.

There's a great opportunity here to follow the money and to go after those who "knew or should have known" what they were enabling when violence and destruction result, both civilly and via RICO actions now that Mr. Sessions is running DoJ.

Let Us Spray

Survivors and witnesses said they were overcome with panic and fear during and after the shootings. Witnesses reported the gunman sprayed rounds while reloading and cursing ... A witness who lives close to Catholic Charities and who did not want to be identified said he watched the chaos unfold from his front yard as the suspect, carrying a large-caliber revolver, shot a man repeatedly in a front yard on the west side of Fulton Street north of Nevada Avenue. Then he stopped and calmly ejected spent shell casings from the weapon and reloaded near a bus stop south of Nevada. [More]
Aside from the obvious fact that Catholic Charities is busily importing Islamist influences, my main question is: Jerry Miculek notwithstanding, how the HELL did this loser "spray" with a revolver?

And Oh. My. GOD:
Using a speed loader, he fired off 16 rounds in four locations in less than a minute...
Unbelievable! We must close the deadly speed loader loophole!

'Random Act of Violence'

That sounds so much more tolerant and inclusive than "Islamist act of racist terror," don't you think? [More]

HuffPo Hoax Says Much about ‘Progressive’ Media’s Subversive Goals

Bottom line: It wasn’t for moral reasons, like it might inspire more violence, terror and misery. The simple truth is, they got punked. The author of the article wasn’t a real leftist spouting the requisite subversive and hateful inanities. It was a setup, an intentionally outrageous submission from a fake contributor who succeeded in appealing to HuffPo’s elitist strain of privileged “progressivism” and getting the piece published in a forum that would reach the world. [More]
It's instructive noting what they got tricked into revealing about themselves, and what that really means about chances for reaching any kind of mutually acceptable accommodations: No, we can't "all get along."

So Much for Assumptions

This was a shocking episode to see on what is normally liberal network television. For once, the gun control advocates were shown to be the extreme, crazy ones and the hero defended gun rights. Much of the show was true to life about how liberal professors and administrators target conservative students and groups – including the verbal altercation between professor and student.  After taking shots at Ted Kennedy and government regulations, Chicago Justice is shaping up to be pretty much the lone conservative TV show in a very liberal industry.  [More]

Enemy Action

Stewart Rhodes, founder of the citizen militia group known as the Oath Keepers, said he came from Montana with about 50 others to protect Trump supporters. They were joined by bikers and others who vowed to fight members of an anti-fascist group if they crossed police barricades. “I don’t mind hitting” the counter-demonstrators, Rhodes said. “In fact, I would kind of enjoy it.” [More]
You'd think a "real reporter" working for a major newspaper would be able to get the fact right that Oath Keepers, while supportive of the concept, is not a militia group -- a point made more times than I can keep track of.

Then again, she also screwed up his quote. Per Stewart:
I was NOT talking about Anti-fa when I said that.   I was talking about the actual white nationalists who showed up and tried to co-opt the event.  I said we wanted nothing to do with them, and while the police told them we could not kick them out of the park, because the event organizers did not have a permit to use the park (which would have allowed them to exclude people), we would not let the white nationalists up on the concrete ring where the actual rally and speakers were, and if they tried, we would remove them physically.   And that is when I said that if that happens, “I don’t mind hitting neo-Nazis. In fact, I would kind of enjoy it.”
How's the saying go...? "Once is happenstance; twice is coincidence..."

The third time is "Authorized Journalism."

If the White Eurocentric Construct Be Known

This construction is a myth and white supremacy, imperialism, colonization, capitalism, and the United States of America are all of its progeny. The idea that the truth is an entity for which we must search, in matters that endanger our abilities to exist in open spaces, is an attempt to silence oppressed peoples. … The idea that we must subject ourselves routinely to the hate speech of fascists who want for us not to exist plays on the same Eurocentric constructs that believed Black people to be impervious to pain and apathetic to the brutal and violent conditions of white supremacy. [More]
In other words -- in their words -- they cannot be reasoned with.

That really only leaves one other option.

For some reason, this Opposite Day "progressive" translation seems appropriate:
And ye shall know the white Eurocentric construct, and the white Eurocentric construct shall make you Enslaved.

I'd have linked to Fox News, which broke the story, except they must not need the eyeballs because they deny access to blogspot links. I don't know if I'll have much more to say on this -- I don't have any uniquely-sourced hard information at this point, and I leave it to others to reword stories that others dig out.

My first impression is I'll be surprised if they get anything out of the guy that can be used against anyone in on the plot and the cover-up.

Teach Your Children Well

Louisiana students, technically as young as kindergarteners, who bring toy guns to school could face criminal penalties under a proposal state lawmakers will consider during a session that begins Monday. [More]
Best they learn early on some activities once considered innocuous and normal will now result in hysterical "adult" overreactions and a response from armed state enforcers, right, 86% NRA-rated "Republican" Dodie Horton?

Mission Accomplished

From Iowa Firearms Coalition via email:
House File 517, the biggest gun bill in state history IS NOW THE LAW OF THE LAND! Permit Privacy and the Supervised Youth Handgun Shooting provisions are fully in effect. The rest of the bill, Stand Your Ground, Short Barrel Rifles, Emergency Powers and so on, will take effect on July 1st.

Ha!

I suppose if he kills himself, he'll be portrayed as a victim of bullying.

Softball Questions?

...are there any more in depth questions than the softball ones in the article? [More]
Really? Anyone else asking harder ones? Of NRA Board candidates or of politicians?

Speaking of which, it's not the first time my getting unequivocal answers has been overshadowed by NRA not just softballing, but sandbagging.

And it's not the first time this particular forum has been a showcase for the ineptitude of some of its members.

At Least They're Not Censoring Everything...

Facebook publishing child pornography • Social media giant apologises for refusing to remove images • Company could be prosecuted as jihadist posts also exposed [More]
At least Team Zuckerberg is taking care of the really bad stuff...

And the Splitting of the Moon Did?

A Muslim activist who taught at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida and was accused by a student of claiming Jesus’ crucifixion never happened has resigned. [More]
I guess her point is to show the world what intolerant and bigoted fanatical haters Americans are.  Yet here she is.

I wonder if a Christian activist teaching under an Islamist theocracy and claiming Muhammad's "miracles" never happened would be afforded a similar opportunity...?

Teach Your Children Well

MIT Press is out with a new book that teaches children the tenets of Karl Marx with fairy tales. Communism for Kids, written by a German author who specializes in political theory and "queer politics," was released last month. The thesis of the children's book is that communism is "not that hard," but has not been implemented in the right way. [More]
Gee, don't they know "schools are 'no place for anti-science propaganda'"?

I wonder how many copies they've ordered in Portland... ?

Turn Up the Heat

It's a shame you have to -- "leaders" are supposed to lead. [More]

At least this is further evidence of who the real leaders are.

A Mighty Voice Stilled

William Norman Grigg died this afternoon. He was a journalist, broadcaster, editor, musician, father, husband, and a self-described Christian Individualist. He was also my hero. [More]
I regret that my own work too often got in the way of reading him and sharing his links more. As I noted a few years back:
I'm in awe of giants like William N Grigg, and select other liberty writers, and deem their voices to be essential ones to heed. Yet outside of the liberty movement, they remain relatively obscure.
And relatively broke. There's a fundraising page to help his family. Don't let the goal being met dissuade you -- that was established before the breadwinner was lost forever. And please believe me when I tell you they sacrifice much in terms of material rewards -- and sometimes even basics -- by supporting what can only be described as a calling.

History is indeed written by the victors. Please join me in renewing a commitment to ensuring names like Grigg (and Vanderboegh, who was also an admirer) are not forgotten.

We're the Only Ones Caretaking Enough

When he was shot, Kinsey was attempting to calm Arnaldo Soto, a man with autism who was playing with a toy truck that police believed could be a firearm. [More]
I can't tell you how many times feral sons Uday and Qusay almost took a bullet from me for that very reason.

All in All You're Just Another Brick in the Wall

“There is a lot of anti-American sentiment in Mexico. If the election were tomorrow in Mexico, you'd probably have a left-wing, anti-American president in Mexico. That can't be good for America,” McCain said. [More]
He's holding out for an anti-American president in America. Trump had other choices for both him and Ryan, you know, and chose the swamp instead.

I see two NIMBYs, "unwavering supporter of the Second Amendment and lifelong member of the NRA" Hurd, and "strong edition to the pro-gun majority" McSally haven't calculated the costs once those they're letting enter move deeper in.

Oh and oh.

What a surprise.  Good thing this has nothing to do with that "single issue.
