Bloomberg to Ban Metal Coating

Mayor Bloomberg unveiled new legislation yesterday to solidify the city's crusade against illegal guns, taking direct aim at "coloration kits" that can make guns look like toys.

I've just learned from SAF/NRA attorney that, *coincidentally* after SAF announced it was filing a complaint against Riley with the Department of Justice, Riley withdrew the threat on live radio about 30 minutes ago.

I'll be reporting the details in Gun Week.

An elder from Elcho Island has accused two Northern Territory police officers of holding a loaded gun to the head of a teenager suspected of stealing...The elder says the officers repeatedly threatened to kill the 19-year-old if he did not tell them where the money was.

The teenager says police then warned him not to tell anyone what had happened.

Y'see, it's like Prime Minister John Howard says:

I don’t think people should have guns unless they’re police or in the military or in the security industry. There is no earthly reason for people to have...ordinary citizens should not have weapons.

We're the Only Ones...Hey, Did Anybody Just Hear Some Glass Break...?

Ricardo Jones and Joseph Leaks had been inmates in the D.C. jail since August, and last month were indicted in connection with a murder. Yesterday, in the jail's most audacious breakout in recent memory, the two stormed into the warden's empty office shortly after 10 a.m., smashed through a reinforced glass window with furniture, scampered onto a canopy and escaped, officials said.

Another reason why it makes so much sense to be disarmed in DC--not only can't the cops protect you, when they do manage to catch a bad guy, they can't hold onto him.

Yeah, I'd want to be helpless knowing these two (alleged!) reptiles are slithering around the neighborhood.

Riley to Citizens: Disarm When I Order You to or Die

Gun rights activists were up in arms Friday after New Orleans Police Chief Warren Riley said he would confiscate weapons should disaster strike...

“During a circumstance like that, we cannot allow people to walk the street carrying guns…as law enforcement officers we will confiscate the weapon if a person is walking down the street and they may be arrested,” Riley said.

I love the hyperbole used by "authorized journalists." Were the People truly "up in arms," Chief Riley would be on the run.

So what will the answer be to his treasonous declaration of war on free Americans: surrender or resistance?

Not "Summer of the Violent Predator"?

Gun violence is on the rise in Canada's major cities, and police are bracing themselves for another season of escalating casualties.

"Summertime months are peak months for gun violence, and the question is will we face another 'Summer of the Gun,'" Bill Hubble, deputy director of the Criminal Intelligence Service, a federal agency, told CTV News.

Well, Bill, all those attempts to remove inanimate objects from civilized society, in lieu of ostracizing the real causal agents, violent criminals, certainly have proven to be a self-defeating boondoggle.

But I don't expect you to take a hint from your agency's name. Propaganda slogans like "Summer of the Gun" say all I need to know about your worldview, and why those depending on you for protection have put their faith in a hollow fraud.
