Pointing out bills he did not support does not tell us what he does favor. Likewise, dismissing a 1995 campaign ad by asking if his questioner had not changed his mind in 20 years does not answer what Christie changed his mind to. Chris Christie to grant clemency to gun owner Brian Aitken,  who was imprisoned for gun possession while moving between residences—something supposedly legal under both federal and New Jersey  laws. Let's not delude anyone with rhetoric here.  Of course it will be entertained. Every damn chance the antis get.  And Christie will do whatever serves his interests at the time.

A city police officer has been suspended for five days after his arrest last weekend for allegedly waving a gun outside a restaurant in Newport, R.I. [More]

Silvia was arrested on two counts of felony assault and one count of carrying a gun while intoxicated after allegedly waving a .380 automatic Kel-Tac gun at two employees of Christie's restaurant at 14 Perry Mill Wharf early Sunday morning.
Newport Police Lt. William Fitzgerald said that, according to witnesses, the incident started after Silvia and his friend, Eric C. Santos, were found by two employees on the side patio after closing where Santos was urinating in a planter.

Damn "civilians" probably got insolent and deserved it.

Christie Blows Any Chance for National Political Ambitions

As Good as It Gets

The Republican governor said in a veto message that the bill would place "redundant restrictions on firearms ownership while ignoring the larger problem of domestic violence." It would be nice if his veto message had mentioned rights, but I guess in New Jersey, certain realities are going to prevail for the foreseeable future.
