The safety excuse rings hollow when you look at how the same people who want to add new chains are the ones responsible for the "need" to.

One of the biggest disappointments has to be Congressman Dan Crenshaw of Texas. Crenshaw, who for many was a shining star amongst conservatives, shocked gun owners when in a tweet after the El Paso shooting stated “Let’s start with the TAPS Act. Maybe also implement state “red flag” laws, or gun violence restraining orders.” [More]

His BS "due process" excuse not only doesn't hold water, but it would also be impossible to restrain states that Congressional action would fund. Add to that once this is passed it will be one less hurdle toward the goal of total "control" to overcome the next time evil visits, and you know it will, and something else will then be up for "reasonable compromise."

It's time to repeat what I said after Sandy Hook:

I Think He 'Gets It' Just Fine

 We need to protect our rights. But, we don't need fake solutions to real problems. That's just what we're getting with RINO Rep. Dan Crenshaw. Though claiming he is "doing all the hard work" to fight Silicon Valley, his legislation fails to solve the problem. Under his bill, political censorship would still be allowed if the "policies" are disclosed. This is no different than Twitter telling Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene that she "violated the terms of service." Not only that, but the bill would rely on the anti-gun Federal Trade Commission for enforcement. If that wasn't enough, it would also overrule the pro-free speech bills in states like Texas and Florida. [Watch]

If being a vet who served and made great personal sacrifices was enough, we'd have monuments to this guy.
