The French Mistake

Kristol Eyes Conservative Lawyer David French for Independent Presidential Run [More]
When will people realize how destructive Kristol meth is?

Here's all I need to know about French:
Mitt Romney, Run for President ... You're the only man who can save us from future calamity.
But wait, as late TV pitchman Billy Mays used to say, there's more:
If Marco Rubio Is ‘Establishment’ Then ‘Establishment’ Has Lost Its Meaning
Hit it, girls:

Return of the French Mistake

David French 2020: Trump sending the FBI to stop riots in Portland is the "death throes" of "local autonomy." David French 2021: Biden mobilizing the FBI against parents at school board meetings is good and proper. [More]

Return of the French Mistake

In this way, French’s article differs little from an ignorant piece of anti-religion propaganda peddled by The New York Times... [More]

The same could be said for most of the crap he spews out.

The French Mistake

America’s immigration and border-enforcement regime is established by Congress. It can only be reformed by Congress. That means deal-making. That means compromise...If Trump sells an immigration deal, the most loyal among his base will stand and cheer. [More]
Yeah? And what'll stop this?

Come on, girls!

Bad Christians! Bad! Bad!

There’s a “strong authoritarian streak” that runs through parts of American evangelicalism, warns Elizabeth Neumann. What should be done about it? [More]

I assume she's not referring to the useful "faith community" idiots who demand the godless globalists disarm us?

It figures "The French Mistake" would be hissing steam.

Pretty Weak Tea

If there is any hope of avoiding dire fiscal consequences, it is of supreme importance that the Tea Party mount a comeback. [More]

Which "tea party" would that be? There is any number of email-scamming pretenders to the mantle out there swindling donations from the gullible, and the original "movement" was all over the board on matters of make-or-break importance to principled issue voters, kind of like most Ross Perot supporters, who only knew they didn't like things.

Blaming Trump, who admittedly deserves his portion, is what I would expect from the home of The French Mistake.  If this guy had a clue, he'd realize the "various cultural-war issues" ARE about limiting government. If he expects us to subordinate our interests to country club set priorities and elect RINO cultural terraformers, he can just feel our pain -- at the end of it all he may be out of Quislings and political options, but those of us in it for beyond that will still have our guns.

Blind Pig Finds Acorn

The following email from WarOnGuns Correspondent Michael G merits sharing:
After their initial panic, they tell us Red Flag laws violate rights and don't work, that universal background checks violate rights and are unconstitutional, that assault weapons bans haven't worked... Peter may have denied Christ three times, but it was still only a single night and he was ever faithful after that.  Maybe NR could grow a spine if they took some of their own advice.
It's more a matter of different authors being given a forum there. The French Mistake still sounds like steam escaping.

Doing "The French Mistake"

Listen to him. [Read]
The Human Target, who is NOT anti-gun (just ask ABC!), agrees wholeheartedly with Monsieur LaPierre that:
We believe in absolutely gun-free, zero-tolerance, totally safe schools. That means no guns in America's schools, period ... with the rare exception of law enforcement officers or trained security personnel.

Thanks for handing him the ammo. I guess that tepid backpedaling a while back wasn't a loud or credible enough repudiation...?

VoilĂ !

You'll Be Surprised, You're Doing the French Mistake - Voila!

The first bad decision was that, in contrast to the European Union fantasies, borders apparently do matter. France never closed them; instead it allowed large numbers of potential virus-carriers to enter the country. [More]
But gee, what's that got to do with us?

I mean, Sanctuary Newsom is at 83% approval.

And it's not like this has anything to do with guns.
