Ruling Out of Spite?

Senator Cruz says Chief Justice John Roberts 'despises Donald Trump' - "I think it is personal," the Texas senator said about Justice John Roberts' motivation to turn away from the conservative movement with his court decisions [More]

So he's like an eight-year-old girl fuming ""I'll show him!"?

Probably. But I still think Dolly photos play their part.

Why So Surprised?

Chief Justice John Roberts joined with the court's liberal wing in delivering the court's opinion. [More]
Looks like the Dolly photos once more worked their magic.

This is what happens when you buy a pig in a poke.

And a swamp pig at that.

Roberts Rules of Disorder

John Roberts Is Wrong. America’s Courts Are Obviously Politicized [More]
Roberts is politicized. What did he think that stupid lie was going to buy him except the enemy taking advantage of it and then attacking him?

I never have trusted him and his Obamacare betrayal confirmed that.

What I can't figure out is if he's always been a mole of if someone got hold of those Dolly photos.

Maybe, Maybe Not

If the court sides with the plaintiffs, it is "quite possible" it could spur justices to tackle cases over restrictions on high-capacity magazines in California and New Jersey, Clement said Wednesday during a closed member briefing before the House Republican Future of American Freedoms Task Force... [More]

Then again, unless Republicans think outside the box on Biden's SCOTUS nominee, we could be at the "mercy" of John Roberts and those Dolly pix.

Deliberately Unclear on the Concept

Congressman Joe Neguse, the Democrat who represents the district that includes Boulder, led a letter to President Joe Biden Thursday calling for him to issue an executive order banning the importation of assault weapons, including some semiautomatic rifles and high-capacity magazines. Also signing onto the letter were Colorado’s three other Democratic members of the House of Representatives — Reps. Diana DeGette, Ed Perlmutter and Jason Crow — and 60 others. Neguse co-led the letter with Illinois Democratic Rep. Robin Kelly. [More]

Well, it's clearly a delegated executive power right there in Article. II. somewhere.

These "safe district" traitors are counting on anyone dumb enough to vote for them being dumb enough not to have a clue about that.

I'd almost say I hope Biden tries it, except for John Roberts and those Dolly pix.

Survey SAYS...

Chief Justice John Roberts earns the highest job approval rating of 11 U.S. leaders rated in a Dec. 1-16 Gallup poll with 60% approving of how he is handling his role. [More]

Good grief.

How many times did Dolly vote?

The Fifth Element

Supreme Court denies GOP request to stop extended period for returning mail ballots in Pennsylvania ... which means Chief Justice John Roberts sided with liberal Justices Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan. [More]

I'm beginning to have doubts about Dolly pix being necessary. It seems we have an embedded subversive. That means it's probably a good thing the court didn't take those gun cases.

A Qualified Opinion

Police Reform Faces Key Test at Supreme Court [More]
And as we've seen time and again with "Second Amendment cases," all they have to do is...nothing.

This one will go whichever way the guy with the Dolly pix tells John Roberts to go.
