What's the Difference Between a 'Mostly Peaceful Protestor' and a 'Rioter'?

You know what they didn’t do? They didn’t kill anyone. That was reserved for someone who shot through a door sidelight at a protester.  You know what else they didn’t do? Use live ammo.  You know what else they didn’t do? Trample the flag, which the capitol police did, while being begged not to. You know what else they didn’t do? shine lasers in cops eyes, set fire to the building, loot it, or shoot fireworks at people. [More]

Maybe someone with the time could find the right app to design a working widget...

I see the "moderate" Republicans are doing their utmost to suck up to their Democrat overlords. A special "Cuck for Law and Order" award goes to CPAC’s Matt Schlapp, who looks like he'd also be Blubbering Cellmate Bitch of the Month if he ever runs afoul of the authoritarianism he so enthusiastically takes two knees for.

Never Enough: New Zealand Set for SECOND Gun Confiscation [More]

What kind of paranoid would imagine such an outcome being the result of "commonsense gun safety laws"?

[Via Jess]

That could never happen here?

Lyft Every Voice and Surrender

Cleveland Lyft driver fired for admitting to firing legally-owned gun during attempted carjacking [More]

This surprises who?

She's black and economically disadvantaged enough to have to drive her own car and she just got fired by two exploitive super-rich white boys.  Seems Black Lives Matter ought to have some kind of say in that, or better yet, who do we contact at NFAC now that Grand Master Jay appears to have indefinitely sidelined himself?

The We'll Get Back to You if We Feel Like It and We Won't Act of 2021

HR 1446, or the Enhanced Background Check Act of 2021, was introduced on March 1, 2021 and has been referred to the House Committee on the Judiciary. It proposes to fix the “Charleston Loophole” wherein a firearm may be transferred to an individual if there isn’t a denial of the background check within 3 days. [More]

Still Tone Deaf After All These Years

Federal law already allows Federal and State law enforcement officers to protect themselves by carrying a concealed firearm, but the Federal Government can do more to cut the red tape that Federal law enforcement officers must navigate to exercise their right. The current threat to Federal prosecutors also demands an expansion of their ability to carry a concealed firearm, as allowed under the Department of Justice’s existing authorities. Finally, the Congress should act expeditiously to adopt legislation extending the right to carry a concealed firearm to Federal judges and pass other measures that will expand our capacity to combat threats of violence against judges, prosecutors, and law enforcement officers. [More]

The ones who will put us away for claiming our right. Like I said-- his to blow.

Beat Me To It

UPDATE: We edited the last sentence to reflect that our rights are not "granted." The genius of our forefathers is a Constitution that acknowledges these unalienable rights. [More]

Never let that go unchallenged. The point cannot be overstated.

Just don't be surprised if people on "our side" attack you for it.

Sobering Thoughts

SCOTUS asked to take up State v. Weber, Ohio case with Second Amendment implications [More]

Because right now, if you have indulged in enough adult beverages in your own home to the point where you couldn't legally drive and someone breaks in, you're forbidden by law to defend yourself with a firearm.

I detailed my arguments here.

Who has faith the Roberts court will consider this?

Enforce Existing Intolerable Acts!

In response, Sen. Grassley offered an alternative unanimous consent request for S.1775, the Protecting Communities and Preserving the Second Amendment Act of 2021–legislation that would actually reduce violent crime while bolstering protections for law-abiding gun owners. S. 1775 would increase prosecutions and penalties for those that violate the myriad of gun laws already on the books –an approach NRA has supported for decades. [More]

Yeah, I know.

I also know that "I will not comply" defiance, by definition, means a gun owner is no longer "law-abiding."

I sure wish that our "leaders" would stop setting traps for us and that their blind followers would wake the hell up.

Unclear on the Concept
