DRGO at GRPC

Via email:
DRGO leaders are again attending the annual Gun Rights Policy Conference, this year in Dallas. We will be speaking at 5:00 pm on Saturday September 29. We know of no live feed, but you can view all the presentations and panels beginning Monday at www.libertywatchradio.com/GRPC_. We’ll be posting to the DRGO  Facebook page from the conference, will later add DRGO’s presentation to our YouTube channel, and will report on the conference highlights next week on the DRGO blog.
Dr. Edeen will report on the violence that medical personnel and patients have suffered this past year, and how gun free zones and hospital policies permit that. He will share work by Rob Morse and Dr. John Lott on how the current concealed carry license scheme deprives millions of their Second Amendment rights. He will highlight the hypocrisy of the left when it comes to Second Amendment rights versus voter rights. Finally, he will suggest how the current administration can do more to “Make the Second Amendment Great Again".

About That Lancet "Study"

We talked about it briefly here.

DRGO tells us not only is the force behind it a major hoplophobe who advocates they should be "reported," but even more recognized "anti-gun researchers" have said she's full of it.

If you go read this now, I believe many of you will want to join me in sharing the link.

Death Panels

Health Systems Interventions to Prevent Firearm Injuries and Death: A Workshop [More]
Just in time for pre-mid term headlines and talking points!

I'm going to forward this to DRGO and see if this is something they can influence.

Physician, Heal Thyself

DRGO identifies some abuses I consider to be malpractice. [More]

If a doctor starts asking you gun questions, why not ask him a few of your own?

A Second Opinion

Science is supposed to be clear, logical and objective. Unfortunately, it is as messy and ego-driven as any other human endeavor. Even though these studies really show that neither civilian gun ownership nor gun laws have anything to do with rates of suicide, homicide, mass shootings or other violence, these researchers misstate their own results and cannot give up their bias against guns. Are you aware of DRGO?

Have you told anyone else about them?

DRGO Update

Via email:
  • On July 31, Project Direct Dr. Arthur Przebinda wrote "Can Kaiser Permanente Be Honest in Gun Research?". The question pertains to many organizations, but with so vast a reach throughout our most populous state, it matters a great deal what line KP providers are intended to toe.
  • We published 'MarkPA's speculations about how a Kavanaugh Supreme Court might act on Second Amendment issues, with an emphasis on incremental reduction in existing infringements rather than a sea change. See Part 1 August 7 and Part 2 August 9 of "What Will Come from the Kavanaugh Court?".

Into the Lion's Den

Sorry, I don’t remember if there was any applause at the end. But there were a number of attendees who couldn’t wait to get out of there and back to work! [More]
DRGO Editor Robert B. Young, MD, braves the Department of Psychiatry at Queens Hospital Center. He did a much better job at not calling the gunquack who asked him if he values hunting more than children's lives a [expletive] moron than I would have done.

Medical Checkup for Daddy's Little Girl

Finally, it would be nice if Ms. Mascia or someone at your blog could actually address the points I made against Dr. Palfrey’s disgraceful, bloody shirt-waving CNN op-ed instead of copying and pasting an erroneous article from thinkprogress.org . [More]
I just found out the hit man's daughter wrote a hit piece (naturally) on DRGO a few years back, and Dr. Wheeler took a moment to expose journalistic malpractice and gross ethical violations.

You'd think with his diagnosis of something so easily treatable, and his prescription for an infusion of truth, that if she wasn't cured by now, she would at least have her condition under control. Maybe she's one of those twisted types that gets off spreading Acquired Insidious Disinformation Syndrome and enjoying the damage that does.
