Has anyone looked into the law to see if gun owners can have a class action against the banks for fraud and RICO?

Not to my knowledge. Some of us (me and GOA come to mind) have called on the government to withhold contracts and bailouts. Not being a lawyer I can't comment on the legal merits of such a case, but would assume if RICO were involved the feds should be taking the lead and that civil pursuits should "tread lightly."

Don't expect "Authorized Journalists" to ask them, so don't expect answers.

Expect instead to see ad hominem attacks against the credibility of the source and the forum sharing his views. Questioning those is not necessarily irrelevant, but shifting the focus to that cannot be allowed to derail investigating legitimate concerns that are raised.

And expect those following up to be marginalized and ignored.

Don't look for FOIA requests to produce anything but redacted pages. Don't look for Congress to investigate without credible whistleblowers, and then expect stonewalling with no resolution.

You're right. But that reflects more on those who are like you than on anyone else.

What a profoundly dishonest piece this is, meaning typically "progressive."

Say Trump became a Mark Kirk on guns.  He'd still be unacceptable due to his immigration stance, so he'd need to change that too. And that wouldn't cut it either, because then he'd need to jettison all the rest of his conservative baggage and become a racist wealth redistributionist, in other words, become a Democrat.

"HuffPost’s Ferguson Fellow" is everything that's wrong with the plantation types too many blacks are influenced by -- instead of people who can help them get their heads right, like Tj, who sounds disconcertingly candid as hell, but who you can tell talks like that out of love and pride.

Offering the first significant gun legislation since the U.S. Supreme Court's recent ruling on the District of Columbia v. Heller, (the landmark case outlining the legality of gun laws) Representative Carolyn McCarthy (NY-4) has introduced a commonsense bill that tightens the criminal background check system by requiring background checks for all gun store employees and dealers.

Hey...wait a minute...that sounds word-for word like McCarthy's own statement...so much for hard-hitting independent watchdogging over at the Three Village Times.

I guess what this bill is about is--because there's a federal law against prohibited persons having guns--there needs to be another federal law prohibiting prohibited persons from having guns. And I suppose if that doesn't work, we can just keep adding layers of prohibition. Hey, when you're in public/private partnership with the "news" media, it doesn't have to make sense--they'll run interference for you and make it look like you know what you're doing.

Oh, and there's also a "fire sale loophole," just in case a dealer exterminated by BATFU for "willful violations"--you know, stuff like paperwork errors--wants to avoid complete financial ruin. This will make sure the boot continues crushing until the last bit of ooze is ground into the dirt. Because, you know, governments are instituted among men to secure the blessings of liberty...

That would be Mark Kirk.

You'll recall I pointed out how Kirk was vulnerable, and how gun owners could deny him that critical few percentage points to unseat him--as an object lesson to other turncoat republicans. Well, it looks like the one principled alternative is no more.

It's telling when non-"extremists" spread the meme that we "radicals" have given up on working within the system, when in fact, political options are introduced and they ignore them. So now 10th District voters can justify to themselves how pulling the lever for Gungrabber R is a lesser of two evils choice than Gungrabber D, and anything else will be a wasted vote.

The one question I've never seen answered: How far down this path of failure are we supposed to allow ourselves to be led?

Why Illinois 10th District Gun Owners Should Vote Third Party*

Recently, Congressman Mark Kirk from Illinois 10th District introduced a bill to create a “Secure Social Security Card”. This new card is clearly a run around to the state’s opposition to Real ID and we must do all in our power to prevent it from becoming law.

This Kirk character is a real piece of work. He's an anti-gun extremist and an enemy of just about any core conservative belief you could name--in short, the essence of "moderate republicans" who have taken center ring in "The Big Tent." I mean, the guy's endorsed by the Brady Campaign, for the love of...

Illinois gun owners, why put up with it? Who cares if his "democrat opponent" is also an evil gungrabbing collectivist? You need to teach the GOP the object lesson that betrayal will not be rewarded, but will be properly punished. There is no "lesser of two evils" rationale to use as an excuse here. Aside from the "R" he campaigns under, the guy's a democrat Fifth Columnist.

The only way to change this is to force Kirk out. That means, as odious as the prospect is, helping Dan Seals beat him.

Do, it, make it known you are doing it, and let everyone know afterward that you did it. And make sure they know why.

That is, if you're serious about sending the party a message and getting an acceptable candidate next time around.
