Gun Owners Should Support Danny Tarkanian for Senate

It's a bigger race. It's one we can win. And if we do, it will topple one of our most powerful politicians and shake the Senate to its core. [More]
Here's that second Gun Rights Examiner column I promised earlier today.

Without hyperbole, we actually have a real shot at toppling the socialist Senate majority leader with this contender--one who took my challenge and gave unequivocal answers to my questionnaire. As far as gun organizations go, I expect one major obstacle: NRA.

I hope some of you see the significance of this. I hope those of you who do see how this will not happen without your active participation and help spreading the word.

Observing who is silent on this one should be interesting. Please don't let it be you.

We're the Only Ones in Hot Pursuit Enough

A Jefferson Parish correctional officer was arrested and suspended Sunday after being involved in what investigators believe to be some sort of domestic disturbance involving a car chase.

Deputies said Officer Edward Elvir was driving a vehicle and chasing another car down Metairie Road. The car being chased crashed into a wall. [More]
So why was the guy being chased cited?

Oh, yeah. "Only Ones." Sorry, Ted, it's a dumb question, skip that.*

Who Do You Trust?

The next moment, a gunshot sounded; and then a Marine was yelling “ND! ND! ND!” — negligent discharge — and Nelson would recall seeing smoke rising from the gun and then all eyes turned to Malone, suddenly slumped in his rack with a bullet hole in his forehead, according to a copy of the investigation report obtained by Marine Corps Times. [More]
I can think of better ways to establish trust.

Proof We Don't Need Guns in Wilderness Parks

“His parents, of Rossland, British Columbia, reported a cougar suddenly jumped out of a brushy area onto the boy, who was near his mother on the trail,” said the release. “The mother reportedly fought off the cougar and the parents took the child to Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail.” [More]
See? Just fight it off with your hands. And hope that it's not as committed to its goals as you are to yours.

That doesn't mean guns don't have their place, mind you:
[W]ildlife officers must now hunt, and euthanize, the cougar.
That place, evidently, is exclusively in the hands of the "Only Ones."

Meanwhile, Across the Pond in Sarah Brady Paradise...

Scouts will now be a little worse prepared after they were banned from carrying their traditional penknives due to the fears of those in charge of health and safety. [More]
I don't suppose making anyone with such fears not in charge isn't an option?

And I guess the online store won't be getting much UK traffic?

This guy Dave Budd sounds like a real piece of...uh...work: an anti-knife knifemaker. Seems he was misquoted. Thanks to commentator Chris.

Then there's this from "a Scouts spokesman":
"Scouting helps to prepare young people with valuable life skills, while keeping them safe by not carrying knives."
That's true. You're preparing them for their proper role by teaching them the valuable life skills necessary to be subjects of an Orwellian nanny state.

Hey, what with the multicultural changes in Empire demographics, I wonder if there are any Sikh kids in scouting over there, and if they get a special dispensation...?

Even ATF Employees Fed Up with Corruption and Incompetence

So what can we do--right now--that has a reasonable chance of making headway? Fortunately, there is something--and it comes from what many will consider two unlikely sources. [More]
It's not that I have sympathy for the devil, it's just that this presents an opportunity we can exploit. I'd originally intended this to be a three-part series, with the first on Monday and the second yesterday. It became clear while writing today's column that I'll need to extend this into tomorrow in order to present all the information without making any part of it too long.

Also get the latest from my fellow GREs.

Note: I'll be making a special post later today that could have huge political implications. Really.

This Day in History: September 9

The Enemy advanced towards us Yesterday with a seeming intention of attacking our post near New Port, We waited for them all day, but upon reconnoitering their situation in the Evening, we judged they only meant to amuse us in Front, while they marched by our right flank and gained the Heights of Brandywine. Don't Let This Lie Go Uncontested

The lie is that "Threepers" don't involve themselves in the political process.

I'll put my record up against any blowhard who says this--especially the ones who libel us from the protective cover of anonymity. The only excuse they could possibly have to utter it is they are ignorant. The only other possible explanation is the person making such a statement is a liar.

Tomorrow I'm going to be talking about "the alleged leader of the merry band of Three Percenters" urging his readers to take political action in a very creative and worthwhile endeavor--something his critics, naturally, have been silent on.

UPDATE: My post here alludes to Mike at the end, but it became apparent while writing this column that it would be too long if I went into detail. It will all become clear in tomorrow's GRE.

The Last Train to Clarksville

Clarksville among 70 Tennessee cities saying no to guns in parks [More]
Which makes this Monkees lyric almost prescient:
And I don't know if I'm ever coming home.
So apes can "rule the planet."

We're the Only Ones Wary Enough

Houston police officers suggested that licensed handgun holders continue to show their credentials, even if not required to by the law. [More]
How about if Houston "Only Ones" assume everybody is armed, and conduct themselves accordingly with politeness and respect...?

Bungie Jumping to Conclusions

The person who had thought they'd seen a gunman in the neighborhood had actually seen a Bungie employee carrying a replica Halo rifle back to the studio's offices... [More]
Ignorance really is what our enemies rely on. They can exploit that to generate fear. And with fear comes a demand for security.

Tyranny is counting on that.

We're the Only Ones Bringing Up the Rear Enough

A Gwinnett County police officer has been relieved of his duties and placed on administrative leave after being arrested on a DUI charge early Saturday.

James Stoudenmire, 27, caused a minor accident on Pleasant Hill Road after leaving Wild Bill’s, police said. His Mustang rear-ended a Mazda stopped at a light. [More]
Because "Only Ones" are more responsible than the rest of us, you see...

Jewish Gun Rights Group Says 'Boot the BATFE'

We saw support for this effort from the National Rifle Association, which calls the bills "a vital step to modernize and improve BATFE operations."

Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership (JPFO) disagrees. They want nothing less than to "Boot the BATFE." Here's why... [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner presents an alternative to "reform": Elimination.

This is the second in a series I started yesterday. I plan on doing a wrap-up tomorrow.

I Repeat Myself

Capitalism is evil. [More]
I'll say it once more: Expel him.

Why, Oh Why?

"Why has there been so much hostility to Chavez? Because he challenged the Washington consensus, saying that the neo-liberal economy was not in the interests of the poor in South America." [More]
It couldn't just be because he's a tyrant who deserves a tyrant's fate? What, the rich Hollywood left doesn't mind seeing radio stations closed?

Many of the national socialists here wouldn't mind seeing the same types of iron-fisted restrictions. Which explains part of the motivation for "gun control."

And which is why they are domestic enemies, deserving of a domestic enemy's fate.

Packing and Flying the Friendly Skies

At the LayerOne 2009 conference, security expert Deviant Ollam gave a talk on the subject of securing your computer equipment and other high-value items in your luggage while flying the friendly skies. His solution: pack a gun in your luggage. [More]
An interesting unintended consequence, to say the least.

The video is here.

If you decide to try it, make sure you read this first. Depending on your destination or other factors, this could result in other unintended consequences.

We're the Only Ones Carrying a Torch Enough

That probe focuses on whether NOPD officers just days after Katrina played a role in shooting 31-year-old Henry Glover, beating him and his buddies, then later torching the vehicle where his body was discovered, sources close to the case have said. It is not clear whether the officers believed to be involved in the shooting and those who allegedly set fire to the car knew about each others' roles, sources have said. [More]
Then so much for the "few bad apples" theory...

Remember, they're not just "Only Ones"...they're New Orleans "Only Ones"!

And you're not.

We're the Only Ones On the Job Enough

An off-duty detective who was "wasted" following a night of boozing in Brooklyn was suspended on Saturday - after his gun accidentally went off and blasted a hole in a car, police sources said...

"Don't f--- with me! I'm on the job," Powell, 40, told them, a source said. [More]
Bloomberg's finest.

Because "Only Ones" are so much more responsible than the rest of us.

Especially New York "lift a finger against us and die" Only Ones.

Is there any question in your mind what would happen to a citizen who defended himself against this drunken thug?

I'm not saying "Don't," I'm just asking why anyone would hang around to find out?

We're the Only Ones Making Home Deliveries Enough

Clayton County police are looking for two assault rifles stolen from a police squad car late Thursday night.
And what's this?
The two submachine guns were taken from the trunk, she said.
Really?

Ah, our good "right wing" friends at Faux News clarify:
High-powered assault weapons were stolen from police cars and a U.S. Army soldier's vehicle...

According to the police report, missing are a MP5 machine gun, a Bushmaster XM15 machine gun...
Right. "Authorized Journalists."

Still, this seems to be happening a lot lately.

Oh look, here's another one. And another...

It's almost like some "Only Ones" are starting to sense something disconcerting in the wind. Either that or...
