Can't You Hear the Whistle Blowing...?

"I learned from an insider that other ATF Special Agents (not SA Cefalu) came forward and testified last week, called ATF bosses liars, and that the next hearing is February 9th." [More]
Vanderboegh gives us more reasons to challenge our trust.

Anybody actually find it a challenge?

We're the Only Ones Flushed with Embarrassment Enough

The loaded gun was found inside a women’s restroom. A police report identified a U.S. Customs Enforcement agent left it behind. [More]

A Common Sense Canadian Gun Owner

I know who's going to respond and how. Let me be clear: I am not one of those "pry it out of my cold, dead hands" guys. No one in the city but a copper ought to have a handgun. And so on.

But I am a fellow who grew up in Northern Ontario and who was once the scourge of the clay pigeon, feared among the partridges. [More]
Well then it sounds to me like you got just what you were asking for, you contemptible Fudd. Now even the birds have no cause to fear you.

And so much for those who call gun owners paranoid for pointing out that registration enables confiscation.

And Now a Word to Gun Owners

Two words, actually, from Peet's Coffee & Tea and California Pizza Kitchen.

The first word starts with "F." The second one sounds like "ewe."

And I guess per ABC7, gun owners aren't "people."

We're the Only Ones Handing Out Bonuses Enough

In police court documents, it is alleged that police supervisors encouraged improper conduct by setting quotas for drug arrests and even handed out bonus checks to officers. [More]
That must be how the "Only Ones" who murdered her got the drugs they planted in her house. You can read more about this obscene travesty right here.

Will Bellevue Chief Pillo Demonstrate How Easy It is To Convert a Semi-Auto To a Machine Gun?

If lawmakers are trying to enact legislation based on what she tells them is "easy," it shouldn't be too much to ask. [More]

This Day in History: January 31

Lafayette’s 1779 memoirs record his January 31, 1778, meeting with the Board of War. According to Lafayette, at dinner in Gates’s quarters that evening, he embarrassed the guests by asking them to drink to the health of the commander in chief...This gesture solidly displayed Lafayette’s loyalty to Washington, but it was not the only reason that the apparently unorganized move to displace Washington gradually diminished. Q: Where in the Constitution is this authorized?

A: Are you serious?

We're the Only Ones Making Hip Shots Enough

Utah officer accidentally shoots self in hip [More]
Ah, another nominee for the coveted Lee Paige Medallion, in recognition of the "Only Ones professional enough" to carry a gun.

On the plus side, at least the article doesn't tell us "the gun went off."

Take the Linda Pillo Challenge!

Chief Pillo made a claim that you just don't hear all that often anymore--that:

"Assault weapons can also be easily converted to fully automatic machine guns." [More]
I think area gun owners ought to make a point of dogging her at press conferences she appears at, and ask if we can get her all the equipment, tools and materials needed to do the job, will she video-demonstrate a conversion?

We're the Only Ones Camera-Shy Enough

Officer who tried to seize woman's camera is fighting 15-day suspension for disobeying sergeant [More]
Read what this punk "Only One" thug did to a citizen.

And he's fighting a suspension?

He's lucky he's not fighting a mob. If he keeps it up, some day he may be.

We're the Only Ones Slap-Happy Enough

Murrah’s mother and a longtime friend urged Sturns to grant him probation, saying he is a good father whose 5-year-old son would be devastated if his father were jailed. [More]
Y'know, my family would be devastated too--not so much if I got sent to jail for such an offense, but more because I would have presumed to be the "Only One" authorized to spank a stranger's naked butt in the first place.

What Advice Would You Give This New Gun Buyer?

Besides which, the whole "list" question" assumes government will end up going door-to-door confiscating. If such a thing happens, my assessment is most of us (or you) will probably have enough advance indicators to see what's going down, the logistics of mass national confiscation being what they are with the sheer number and widespread distribution of gun owners. If it ever does happen, all this talk is going to be academic anyway, and you're going to have some choices to make that will require a lot more soul-searching than taking advice from some guy on the internet. This Day in History: January 30

On January 30, 1778, General Washington gave a report on the result of a General Court martial held on January 23, when a soldier of the artillery was tried for desertion and stealing a horse from General McIntosh. The soldier was acquitted of the desertion charges, but found guilty of theft and was sentenced to receive 100 lashes on his back and have "half his pay stopped monthly until General McIntosh is fully satisfied". We're the Only Ones Social Networking Enough

“The police officer was chatting on Facebook,” said Brown. “I think that’s wrong.”

So Brown took out his cell phone and took a picture. That’s when he claims the officer arrested him.

“Pulled me out of the car, grabbed my phone, and I said I don’t think I’m breaking the law here … I’m not under arrest,” said Brown.

Brown said the officer then said “Well, you’re under arrest now.”

Brown said the officer handcuffed him, took the phone and hauled him off to jail.

Brown claims he was never read his rights and the officer wouldn’t give him his name. As for that picture, Brown said when officers returned his phone, the picture was gone. [More]
Hmmm--how to prove it?

I'd think a subpoena to Facebook would confirm activity at the time being alleged...and if it turns out to be a case of "Only One" citizen abuse as a method of CYA, he should be unfriended and introduced to another "social networking group".

What Happens to Quitters in Furious Mike Paradise

In 2006, Mr. Chen spent 30 days in jail for choking her and punching her in the face, and since then Ms. Wu had received at least five orders of protection against him. [More]
See, there's the problem--she should have tried for six.

On the plus side, at least the outcome was in accordance with the wishes of Bloomberg, Kelly, Helmke, Sugarmann, Peters...

And hey--at least the killer didn't use a gun!
