If, as reported by Gallagher, the agents investigating the Columbus trafficking case knew of a Fast and Furious tie-in from over two years before that testimony, and had actually “refer[red] to the Fast and Furious investigation by number,” and if the Luna Tea Party Patriots restatement of the pretrial proceedings is an accurate representation, the statements given by Valles would appear to pose a conflict and merit closer examination for, at minimum, context. [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner report looks at some evidently revisionist history -- in the courtroom.

Unnecessary Roughness

Radio show presents ‘stories that cannot be forgotten’
Fast and Furious “gunwalking” and the Benghazi scandal will be the topics of today’s i Spy Radio Show, to be aired today from 11 a.m. to noon Pacific time on KYKN 1430 AM in Salem Oregon. [More]This afternoon's Gun Rights Examiner report gives a heads up on an incursion of truth into the Pacific Northwest. There's a back story on this: they'd originally approached Mark Walters, host of Armed American Radio, and he deferred and referred them to me. I bring it up because it just gives further evidence of the quality of people I have met in this "animated contest" I'm proud to call friend.
Grassley asks Holder about U.S. Attorney’s gun trafficking case leak
"Has an independent investigation been conducted into what role Paula Burnett played, if any, in her husband obtaining sealed federal wiretap information? If so, who conducted the investigation?" [More]The source material for today's Gun Rights Examiner report came to me late last night and kept me up until after 2:00 a.m. to get posted--it includes a link to Grassley's letter which I posted on my Scribd account.
This is Not Hollywood
Mike H shares his misadventures trying to get his stolen gun back. [More]
Me, I'd name names. Light has an amazingly antiseptic effect sometimes.
I'd also fire a lawyer who didn't return my calls. This seems like an amazingly straightforward case to resolve -- if the FFL can provide proof of sale by serial number, and Mike says they re-sent it after they initially faxed the wrong one, what's to argue?
I wonder if it would be a good idea to sic the ATF on them, tell them this particular officer took his gun, he's proven it's his, it still won't be returned, and he now now fears this guns has been stolen by that officer and wants that suspicion investigated...?

This Day in History: December 1
Greene instructed the two officers, General Edward Stevens, a Virginia militia officer and Colonel Edward Carrington to “explore carefully the River, the Depth of the Water, the Current and the Rocks, and every other Obstruction that will impede the Business of Transportation.” Greene also ordered one of the men to take a “horse and ride across the Country…to the upper Saura Town, and report the Distance and Condition of the Roads.” [More]

In a Crossbow-Free Zone?
Earlier, Casper College spokesman Rich Fujita said the incident involved a crossbow or another similar weapon, Fujita said. [More]And now they may be changing it to a "sharp-edged weapon"...?
But what about the rules...?
UPDATE: At least it wasn't a crossbow used in a Gun-Free Zone. But the "safety" policy still didn't work, did it?
City attorney’s comments spotlight how California gun laws endanger citizens
Here you have a municipal legal official admitting murders are on the rise, criminals are running rampant, a dwindling police force is powerless to prevent it, and the same city and county authorities who have only approved 2,800 people out of over 2 million residents in an area of over 20,000 square miles won’t give their permission to carry the means of defense unless you can satisfy them that your “cause” is “good.” [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner report looks at a place that's morally, as well as fiscally bankrupt.
Innocent Until Proven Guilty
I haven't read this book, so I don't know the exact circumstances that led to these peoples' ordeal. The advice given in this column looks good from what I see. [Read]

DEFENSIVE USE OF FIREARMS: Revised and Updated
From Stephen P. Wenger:
If you have been waiting to purchase autographed copies of my book – for yourself or as gifts – a new shipment arrived yesterday and I'm ready to ship again. Fairly detailed instructions for either purchase with a mailed check or online are posted at the link below. Particularly if the copies are to be use as gifts, don't forget to include the name(s) for the inscription. Feel free to add any appropriate comments, such as “from your friend...” and/or a date other than the one of the actual purchase. If you make your purchase online, you should find ample room for that in the box for the name. Just make sure, if purchasing more than one copy, that it is clear what is to be inscribed in each one. Again, thanks for your support – the small revenue from purchases directly from me helps support both the website and these mailings. (If you are unfamiliar with the book, scroll upward on the linked page.)That would be this linked page...
