The men burst into Frias Tire and Mechanic sometime between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. last Thursday. At least two shots were fired - one into a wall, one into the ground - by the impostor cops, Gener said.
Why is everybody assuming they were imposters?

I posted the below on another forum in re:to this story.
"Good reason cops shouldn't use dynamic entry except in extraordinary circumstances. And if killed or injured during dynamic entry there should be no charges levied.
To do otherwise puts all citizens at great risk from criminals posing as cops. It is not unreasonable to have that risk shared by the progenitors of the violent entry. Then weighing of the advantages and disadvantages of such tactics would help the police decide upon a course of action without the comfort of near immunity from consequences of violently entering someone’s home or business."
Obviously in their cowardice to and sloth they are empowering the criminal by causing the law abiding citizen to pause for fear of prosecution for shooting a violent intruder that happens to be a cop. They should learn to knock. Anybody kicking in a door should be considered fair game and be "paid for" when dead.
Knock on my door and ask, you will get cooperation, kick in my door, you will get dead. Even if you are temporarily successful. That is an intrusion I will not abide. Pity more don't feel that way, we wouldn't have the problem.
