Bush Organizing School Violence Summit

The Bush administration plans to bring education and law enforcement experts together for a conference on coming to grips with the problem and discuss federal action that can help communities prevent violence and deal with its aftermath, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino told reporters...

Perino said participants on the education side would include groups like the National Parent Teacher Association, school principals and teachers' unions. The Federal Bureau of Investigations would be among those representing law enforcement, she said.
Any bets they don't agree with the Harris/LaPierre solution?

Had this crap gone down when I was in school somebody would have shot the bastards before the cops had a chance to show up. It might even have been some students, as many of us hunted after school and took our guns to school so we wouldn't lose any daylight.

I don't see any pretend adults advocating a return to a philosophy and a lifestyle that worked. It just isn't hip. And it is hard to be in control if everyboby can defend himself.

Let's face it, given the choice between ending the insanity and offering nonsolutions that let them retain the appearance of control, they will go for the control every time.

The really big question is, "Why are the rest of us too stupid to see this?".

Which has more fatalities, School shootings or teens drinking and driving? If the president will create a summit about the gun violence then why not address the DUI deaths as well? We can't really seem to control either.
