The Buck Stops Where?

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has ruled in favor of the University in June, after reviewing a complaint by Public Safety’s Fraternal Orders of Police (FOP) union, who claimed that the University’s policy of not allowing Public Safety officers to carry guns was an occupational hazard.
Ah, backdoor gun control by unelected bureaucrats accountable only to their administration masters...

Let's see...OSHA reports in to the Department of Labor, and Secretary Chao reports to...the "Vote Freedom First President," you know, the republican who gun owners put in office...

Or as the inmates say to the bulls on the inside, "Hows' it feel, screw?". Bet alot of them bureaucrats carry guns, and a smug feeling too. Whoops, better get my head down and crop some more grass. III.

If I'm reading that right, it's a good thing that OSHA regs are not being applied to the presence of firearms, even if it is in a way that precludes the police there from carrying. It was the cops who said the OSHA regs made the difference, not the school.
Don't get me wrong, I disagree that the cops should not be armed, but I think this is good precedent to not have OSHA regs mandate the inherent "workplace safety" aspect of firearms.

If they were not Only Ones (or almost), they would be suspended for claiming the right to carry and expelled if they DID carry.
SOME of the parents of those who died at Virginia Tech get it. The rest want the rest of us to pay, in money and freedom. The fact that there was an ABSOLUTE BAN on guns on campus except for the police means nothing, except "it wasn't enforced strongly enough." I guess full body searches between all classes are what they want. Metal detectors at every door, and cops to man them.
In Kirkwood, MO, last week, a man killed a police officer outside city council chambers, immediately killed another INSIDE chambers, and also killed two council members, another official, and fatally wounded the mayor, and wounded a reported covering the meeting. Apparently everyone else in the room was obedient and left their guns at home, to keep someone from being hurt.
