"Neighbors Say There Wasn't Really Anything Unusual"

So he wasn't threatening anybody? He had the guns because he's a survivalist?

So how's he gonna survive when things have really gone to hell and you thick-necked thugs have either abandoned your posts or are out looting Wal-Marts? Wait a sec--we're talking Jersey City--things have already gone to hell, and you're already bloated on plunder.

But here's the attitude:
The ATF, who knows more about this stuff than we do, has labeled all multiple purchases inherently suspicious.
Now all you have to do is rely on your public/private partnership with the "Authorized Journalists" at the AP. They'll dutifully repeat the "weapons of war" and "capable of going through a bullet-proof vest" mantra, and you'll have yourself a media event capable of fooling enough of the sheeple enough of the time...

I never heard WHY he was banned from having guns, or why they were seized, or what he did, etc. Those bloated looking cops in NJ really inspire a lot of confidence. Some of the rifle barrel ends looked corroded. Why was everything in plastic bags? I'd like to hear the mans side of the story.

Near me, a man just got a life sentence for maiming his girlfriend with a MACHETE. 10 or 12 cuts.
Was he a gardener or jungle explorer? Me neither, nor am I a medieval knight, but I have a couple of machetes and some swords. It's my RIGHT. It will CONTINUE to be my right no matter what laws are passed.
This case is why we cache things away from home. Otherwise we need to associate with really nasty criminal types to get replacement guns. We're obviously going to need them.
Don't be netted for some minor thing; we're going to need YOU.

The Peoples' Republic of Jon Corzine, oops, New Jersey has had some of the harshest gun regs in the nation since the '60s. ID card plus new permit for every pistol purchase, 'ugly rifle' bans, hollow point ammo ban (xcept for the only ones), id card for rifle purchase and I believe for ammo. Don't know if they've instituted ammo buys only for registered weapons yet, but they will.

150 HOMEMADE GRENADE LAUNCHERS seized from FARC in Colombia.
Columbian Armed Revolutionary Forces, I think is their name in english. Dissidents, revolutionaries, counter-revolutionaries, terrorists, patriot militia? I don't know, but I know they know how to build useful stuff. In the jungle, with hand tools.

I wonder if AP gets a discount on knee pads when they suck it up on the hard (ahem) news.
