No Surprise

Police Capt. Mark W. Louney said residents from several places in the city called to get unwanted firearms out of their houses.

“They just didn’t want them around anymore,” he said. “I was kind of surprised we recovered so many.”
I wish I could say I was surprised. Sadly, from many I expect it.

And then they're going to destroy them.

No surprise there, either.

Why don't they send them all to me? I will give them all a loving home, or find a loving home for them. Maybe I should put an ad in the paper: "Unwanted guns in your house? Send them to me. I will keep them 'off the streets'."
