A Pressing Non-Threat

The fact that Attorney General nominee Eric Holder is no friend to gun owners is not a surprise. What may be a surprise, and worthy of examination at his confirmation hearing, is Holder's post-9/11 contention that a pressing threat to our national security is terrorists shopping for weapons at U.S. gun shows.
Why is that a surprise?

The Brady's have been promulgating that lie for years.

""You don't ever want a crisis to go to waste; it's an opportunity to do important things that you would otherwise avoid.""

Many have said it; many swear by it; remember the unread and immediately passed Patriot Act?

Now comes ERIC HOLDER, the AG apparent, no friend of the Bill of Rights or Constitutional limitations on his or his patrons' power.

The BHO regime will move fast and hard to take full advantage of the govt created financial fiasco. This 'crisis' will provide the cover for multiple liberty restricting initiatives, from govt health care, to effective taxation and/or outright seizure of personal retirement savings to the new gun bans.

The legislation is being created by the transition team in conjunction with the dem leaders on the hill. Industries and entities that will benefit are intimately involved as well. When the dem congress comes back we won't be able to keep up with the assaults, and two years further on, we'll reelect these bastards, having mostly forgotten what they'd wrought and thankful for our AgDept food stamps for our bowls of gruel.

Time has come....

i can't say i was surprised, but, it was definitely egg on the face for the radical left:

"conservatives used 9/11 to take away our civil liberties!"

sure, some did. War Party conservatives. they did it with their War Party liberal friends. Democrats? Republicans? there's a difference?

then again, those of the left who believe the ACLU is consistent in its "everything but the 2A" position probably see nothing wrong with this AG appointment. if they even know about it. and of course they're party stalwarts to the bitter end, being collectivist, and all, so what's the use in trying to explain it?

a bitter end it will be.
