We're the Only Ones Spared Enough

Judge Robert Neary conceded that former Orange County sheriff's Lt. Lloyd Kurth violated the public's trust by stealing a rifle from the evidence room he once supervised.

But when it came time to sentence Kurth Monday in Orange County Court, Neary decided that Kurth's crime was offset by the loss of his law-enforcement career and the public humiliation endured by the 42-year-old Goshen native. [More]
Lord knows Messrs. Fincher and Olofson endured no comparable suffering, and thus deserved their prison terms...?
After the trial, Neary dismissed more charges revolving around Kurth's alleged theft of two handguns. He convicted Kurth of stealing a hunting rifle.

Sheriff Carl DuBois said Tuesday that the public never got the complete picture of Kurth's misdeeds.

"This wasn't just one, isolated incident," DuBois said.
Still, he's already suffered as only an "Only One" can, right, Judge Neary?

We ALL should get "good points" to offset our eventual crimes just as we do for accident-free years on our Motor Vehicles record. Either EVERYONE deserves a freebie, or no one.
How many class wars will we have to fight at once? There's us against upper management in business, us against law enFORCErs, us against the hypocrite media.
This is just more of the thug-encouraging catch-and-release practiced in our cities. "He went to anger management class. Can he help it if it didn't take? He does the "Scared Straight" program. Never kept HIM out of prison, but if he reaches just one "yute"...

There's the scoop on this. The judge is a parasite in the criminal justice scam as cop was. The judge knows the full effect of being tossed out into the masses stripped of the power that bottom feeding parasites have in the criminal justice system have. This ex-cop is going to suffer big time because he will never become employed and retain the standards of living he had being a parasite. He's washed up and the judge knows this and feels this criminal parasite has suffered enough.

This story reminds me of the man who burned his home for insurance money back in the 70s. He was caught and convicted of arson but was allowed by a jury to keep the insurance money because he was being forced to go to jail and his family didn’t have a place to stay.

Dirty cops are the worst kind of criminal. They deserve HARSHER penalties than others because in addition to committing their crimes, they've also violated the public's trust.

Instead of receiving breaks on their sentences, they should have penalty enhancements instead.

"A crooked peace officer is just a damned abomination. That's all you can say about it. He's ten times worse than the criminal."
