We're the Only Ones Snowballing Enough

Story and video.

All you really need to know:
D.C. police said the patrol officer appeared to have acted appropriately...
That way, Cathy Lanier can keep her apple barrel unspoiled.

Once more District "Only Ones" expect us to swallow that they're of the right temperament to carry guns while you and I are not.

UPDATE: Two of the GREs also covered it today, Messrs. Workman and Nemerov.

[Via at least a dozen of you and counting so far...]

The patrol office was not the problem. It was the detective whose behavior caused the patrol officer to draw his weapon. What a crummy article! It willfully missed to whole point.

Common sense dictates that water in a more solid form does not pose a risk to the officer's, or another's, life or limb. This should be investigated in the same manner that assault with a deadly weapon is when the aggressor is a civilian.

This popinjay only one has his pride wounded by the peasants, and he had to assert his authoritah. I bet he jerks his pistol out when on the commode, to order the move he is about to make. Even when people are engaged in harmless fun, the heavy hand of the state must intervene, lest the peasants get too frivolous. Maybe he can intervene at the next wedding he encounters, and claim "Prima nocta".

The following links suggest that the primary issue in this event was that the "plainclothes" cop pulled a gun on kids after he drove through their snowball fight.

Who knows what sort of crap went out over the cop radio when the "plainclothes" cop called for backup.

Video where "plainclothes"er describes his prior actions:

There are a couple different versions going around. In one, the plainclothes dick wasn't the one who called the police. It was a citizen after the PCD started waving his gun around. There is one picture of him with the weapon out of the holster. Not just reaching for it.

Ok, I don't often appreciate this next phrase but I think in this case it may be appropriate. He was compensating for the size of his penis. Waaaay ta go Dickless Tracy.

Those who do not know history are condemned to repeat it. See "Boston Massacre", a result of a snowball fight between Boston citizens and armed British troops.

I'd like to know why the responding ONLY ONE did not arrest the off duty detective for BRANDISHING after it was determined he BRANDISHED a pistol for no good cause.
