We're the Only Ones Proactive Enough

"Instead of being reactive, we took a proactive approach," OSP Sgt. Jeff Proulx said. [More]
Hey, I'm "disgruntled" and I own guns.

When can I expect the SWAT Team and a stint at the Soviet psych ward?

What's saddest about this is the deliberately dumbed-down sheeple who are cheering these gov't thugs on in the comments. Wonder how they'd feel if it was THEIR ox being gored?

The paper might as well leave Burke's name off the article and give the byline to Lt Hansen.

The guy is screwed now because they took him to a mental hospital. I'm sure it took a judge's order to get him there. So now because of this he's more than likely unable to own a firearm.

The Bureau of Pre-Crime has struck. I'm afraid they could never turn me loose, because Sgt. Proulx, as proud as you are about being a fucking Nazi, I would hunt you down and kill you and everyone involved in this, you could never turn me loose.

If you die before I do, I would love to know where you are buried so I can piss on your grave. If you wish to come by, I'll piss on you now and avoid the last minute rush. I am sure with your attitude there are a great many queued up to piss on you.

Note the comments... I'm eager to hear the root of all this. Looks like the boss @ ODOT isn't the "only one"...

Unspecified report, SWAT Team closes down his street, humiliates him, takes his guns... he STILL cooperates...and "No criminal charges have been filed."

WTF? For those that were unclear...THAT, my friends, is called a "Police State".... no freedom loving American should be anything less than outraged and afraid. Very.

I keep hearing about those good guys who mean well, and how they take their oath to "support and defend" the Constitution seriously. I would think that of all the officers involved in a case like this there would be a few, maybe two or three of those "good guys who mean well" who would stand up and say, "No boss, I ain't doing it."

Jeez, the silence is deafening.

On second thought...

You know, the cops are always right. They have the Super-Hero Costume and the Magic Shield, which when worn, make them impervious to wrongdoing.

SO, if it was the Cops what dunnit, it MUST have been right!

Whew, I can go stick my head back in the sand now that I FEEL better.
