“I don’t see any constitutional bar to regulating high-capacity magazines,” Levy said in an interview with NBC. [More]Because we all know that's what the Founders meant when they wrote "shall not be infringed"...
Do you maybe see any other kind of bar then, Mr. Levy?
It's not like we haven't seen the pitfalls of entrusting advocacy to those who aren't true believers before. And again.
I have to say, with this guy being chairman of the "libertarian" CATO Institute, it looks like they've just relegated themselves to irrelevance among people who are serious about not taking one more step backward. Why would anyone who is give them a dime after this?

L.I.N.O.?
Libertarian In Name Only.
He should understand that it is wrong to attempt to regulate guns even if it WERE "constitutional" (which it most assuredly is NOT).
But, then, I'm just a radical who gives no quarter to those who side with tyranny for any reason.
The Cato Institute is a sham, it's Republican Lite at best, and on its way out.
It is interesting to see just how little the progressive/fascists don't understand our statement, "No more gun confiscation laws, not one".
And don't believe us when we state that we intend to enforce that, with force that may be lethal. It won't be a random shooting in a supermarket parking lot, either.
