Why don't we ask Col. Cooper?
Let us reflect upon the fact that a man who covers his face shows reason to be ashamed of what he is doing. A man who takes it upon himself to shed blood while concealing his identity is a revolting perversion of the warrior ethic. It has long been my conviction that a masked man with a gun is a target. I see no reason to change that view.Me neither, Col. Me neither.

I would have given him the benefit of the doubt if it was REALLY cold - but he isn't wearing gloves, so that excuse disappears. Paramilitary clothing, vest, military-style subdued flag and patches, Motorola radio mic -- he's an OPERATOR, folks...
Well, given the right (or wrong, depending on your viewpoint) situation, the good guy may preserve himself from apprehension to fight another day. I'd probably put on a mask if I thought it could keep me from being neutralized, but not because I was ashamed of what I was doing. If I was ashamed, I wouldn't be doing it. Of course, shame is subjective.
