Get Us Out from Under, Wonder Woman!

Fox News reported Swain apologized to anyone who was offended but “essentially defended the poster, claiming Wonder Woman using her ‘lasso of truth’ to keep ‘less-than-honest police officers’ in line is a metaphor for cross-examination and a zealous defense.” [More]
So she can't now use the excuse that subtle costume changes resolve copyright issues? Assuming Wonder Woman is a valuable intellectual property, how is uncompensated use not a valuable campaign contribution (and endorsement) made by AT&T and its Warner Media subsidiary division?

Maybe someone should ask the Kansas Governmental Ethics Commission.

And this collectivist wants to be the state's top law enforcement administrator?

Me, I always liked Woman Wonder better anyway.  That said, I had to laugh at "the titular Amazon heroine."

I must say, it would be refreshing to have a Prosecutor who makes public statements like this:

Swain stated, “As a criminal defense attorney for nearly 17 years, I have seen firsthand the injustice that can be doled out at the hands of less-than-honest police officers.”

And, in her defense, that is the Lasso of Truth, and only one loop of many is around his throat.

If she could present a workable proposal for doing something to make LEOs tell the unvarnished truth instead of twisting it to their own ends or telling outright falsehoods, she might deserve some support, but I agree with you that she doesn't seem to have any solutions to offer, so instead she's just pointing out the obvious defects of LEOs in an inflammatory manner.

Wonder Woman’s creator was a weird mix of academic, freak, and tyrant, sort of a one-man Pizzagate. His ideas contrary to personal liberty are frankly repulsive.

“This, my dear friend, is the one truly great contribution of my Wonder Woman strip to moral education of the young. The only hope for peace is to teach people who are full of pep and unbound force to enjoy being bound … Only when the control of self by others is more pleasant than the unbound assertion of self in human relationships can we hope for a stable, peaceful human society …”

“When women rule, there won’t be any more [war] because the girls won’t want to waste time killing men…I regard that as the greatest – no, even more – as the only hope for permanent peace.”

So saith a man whose imagination obviously failed well short of Hillary…
