The first known repeating firearms date back to between 1490 and 1530, with guns that fired 10 consecutive rounds. A 1580 gun could fire 16 shots. The levels of projection on "their" side never ceases to amaze me.
They suffer from poor impulse control, and feel they cannot be trusted with firearms, therefore we must be disarmed.
Further, in this case, they have no imagination, so they feel that the men and women who defeated the finest military seen in the world of their era then created one of the best and longest lasting systems of government to replace it could not have imagined modern repeating firearms.
Actually, the Founders imagined repeating firearms and much more. In fact they imagined just the sort of people now manning the ramparts of the Left.
And as a result, they demanded that the Bill of Rights be added to the new constitution before they agreed to ratify it.
If you're reading this, take a moment to re-read the entire Bill of Rights with particular emphasis on the preamble and the Ninth and Tenth Amendments.
