Back to the Drawing Board

Parents or guardians would have been required to sign the letter and send it back to school. Board of Aldermen President Lewis Reed and the group Everytown for Gun Safety proposed the policy. [More]
"Required"? Everything they do involves forcing people to obey them.

I'm wondering if the letter pointed out it isn't safe to store firearms in an oven, between the cushions of a couch, or between the mattress and box springs in the master bedroom.

Actually, I'm wondering if the letter covered anything that actually had something to do with gun safety other than "If you have a gun in your house it will kill you or a member of your family."
