A Lesson in Democracy

Nicki and Kevin can't believe how stupid some people are.

Just remember--not only are some people stupid, but their votes cancel out ours.

You don't think all this talk about spreading "democracy" has anything to do with relying on the ease with which stupid people and their opinions can be manipulated, do you?

I am a fan of Nicki Fellenzer, though, I haven't read her since The Armed Females.... site has been down. Don't know much about the other blogger, think I will try to learn.

However, if stupid is the word they used I must disagree. Stupidity is not the problem. Stupidity is the inability or diminshed ability to think and reason at an acceptable mental level for humans. There is nothing wrong with the level of the thought of those posters that they were addressing.

The problem is the direction of their thought. They are psychotic. They have had a break with reality and are unable to reason. So while not stupid due to the level of their thought they are insane due to their inability to direct their thought to logic and reason.

Either that, or they are just amoral opportunists of the liberal persuasion using the event to further their political agenda. Oh,wait! Same thing, isn't it?

"Stupid" was my interpretation. I don't diagree with what you say.

Nicki has 2 sites, "Nicki's Asylum" and "The Liberty Zone," both linked on the blogroll. Kevin's is "The Smallest Minority," also linked.

This is why our Founding Fathers gave us a [constitutional] republic. They knew that democracy was nothing more than tyranny by the majority.

(BTW, Dave, why the word verification?)

In re word verification, I was getting some comments that were spam, stuff like "Nice site. Now go here for [insert ad pitch]" --so decided to put in the extra step to at least eliminate the spambots. It's a new feature offered by Blogger, so I thought I'd try it.
