Of course they are! They don't care one whit about the law that requires the destruction of records! Anyone who believes otherwise is naive in the extreme!

If you were to believe the fairy tale that the record is destroyed in 24 hours,consider this.In the Army, urinalysis results are,by regulation,supposed to be destroyed if found negative. In 1986, as part of my outprocessing, I was informed by a pert young clerk,smilingly, that, "good thing you had negs on all your test results,sarge,that way your discharge is clean too". I been lied to by my government ad nauseum,ad infinitum. I return the favor whenever possible. Anyone who believes we don't already have a de facto registration, well,like in Alien, I can't lie to you about your chances, but you have my sympathy.
